cobas® connection modules (CCM)
Everything designed to work together as one

cobas® connection modules allow the connection of the standalone automation systems, cobas® p 512 and cobas® p 612, to analytics and post-analytics through a fast transportation system.

cobas connection modules (ccm)

Fast and simply efficient

cobas® connection modules (CCM), powered by navify® Lab Operations allows labs of all sizes to reach a new level of productivity. Streamline and optimize laboratory processes with an automation solution designed to work together to deliver samples to multidisciplinary targets at speeds of up to 10,000 samples per hour.

Maximize lab space with vertical transportation for CCM

Discover new opportunities to design and operate your lab in the most effective way. CCM Vertical is designed for overhead sample transportation, enabling crosswalks, floor-to floor transportation, split solutions across different work areas and much more. CCM Vertical works seamlessly with the rest of the solution, enabling the same quality, reliability and performance, efficiently moving up to 2500 samples/hour, just like horizontal transportation.

CCM Vertical — Imagine what you can do

Growing flexibility

Take advantage of the huge flexibility of the standalone automation concept, while adding predictability of time to results by integrating solutions with cobas connection modules.

Boost productivity by also utilizing CCM to sort non-connected work areas:

  • Flexible and freely definable sorting areas
  • Sort into various racks supplied from Roche and other vendors
  • First pass and recursive workflow
  • Archiving of samples

Multidisciplinary connectivity

CCM gives you the option to connect multiple laboratory disciplines in a seamless integrated solution:

  • Serum Work Area
  • Hematology
  • Coagulation
  • Urinalysis
  • Molecular Diagnostics
  • Post-analytics

Streamline workflows and drive better patient outcomes with proven safety and efficiency with a system that is cross-contamination compliant for NAT testing.

Quality comes first

Comprehensive inspection of samples at an early stage, optimizing the lab workflow and ensuring the best use of time and resources, including:

  • Tube type identification
  • Liquid Level Detection
  • Spin status detection, which identifies whether blood samples have been centrifuged or not
  • Sample quality check, which enables detection of normal, hemolytic, lipemic and icteric samples

Workflow your way

Personalized workflows enable you to choose from primary, aliquot or mixed workflow:

  • Primary sample workflow – fewer consumables, less waste
  • Aliquot workflow – if the focus is on sample integrity and parallel testing
  • Mixed workflow – optimize the benefits of both workflows

Scalable

Easy on-site solution expansion as you need it.

cobas® Bulk Loader Input Module (BLIM)

Single point of entry for convenient sample loading

cobas® BLIM can be connected in front of the pre-analytical system for loading closed tubes, which can be already centrifuged or not. Samples can also be loaded via the Priority Loading area for faster processing. cobas® BLIM can be connected to a Pneumatic Tube System, automating your solution from the very beginning of the sample journey.
